Taming anything is harder than it seems, not least taming oneself.
"It is not the other that you are taming, it is the self"
What the fox is trying to tell the Little Prince here is that time (in the form of care) is the essence of love. We are what we do.
Whenever you spend time with someone, you are saying "I love you".
Love is a choice. Goodness is a choice. A bad, or average person, can become good by choices. Not just one choice, but many.
